The “Spring Book Club 2026”-The third meeting-discussion
The “Spring Book Club 2026” program continues at the Ara Sargsyan and Hakob Kojoyan House-Museum. The third meeting-discussion was held within the framework of the program, which was conducted by the book club moderator Tigran Martirosyan. At this meeting, the participants discussed chapters 5-8 of the book.
At the beginning of the meeting, the participants addressed the question of whether a person can ever go beyond the scope of his own interests, or is this idea itself an illusion. Then they talked about what role pleasure should play in a person’s life.
In the second part of the meeting, the participants noted what limitations there are in the issue around which a person should be ready to make concessions. At the end of the discussion, opinions were expressed on how a person can live rationally in an irrational society without isolating himself from it.
The book club discussions are full of everyday and important examples that help to understand the relevance of philosophy.
