The fourth meeting and discussion of the “Winter Book Club 2026” program took place.
The fourth meeting of the “Winter Book Club 2026” program was held at the Ara Sargsyan and Hakob Kojoyan House-Museum, hosted by book club moderator Hripsime Voskanyan. At this meeting, the participants discussed chapters 12-14 of the book.
The discussion began with a focus on the character of Dominique, the question of what she considers real freedom and where is the line between independence and emotional avoidance.
In the second part of the meeting, the participants noted that Keating is ready to marry Catherine… his mother considers the marriage as a strategic step for her career and power. In this context, the question was discussed of whether Keating is simply lazy or is he responding rationally to a world that punishes “wrong” choices.
At the end of this meeting-discussion of the “Winter Book Club 2026” program, the attendees also talked about what Rand thinks about people who build their identity based on social approval.
