The twelfth meeting-discussion of the “Winter Book Club 2026” program took place
The twelfth meeting of the “Winter Book Club 2026” program was held online, hosted by book club moderator Hripsime Voskanyan. At this meeting, the participants discussed chapters 2-4 of the fourth part of the book.
Before moving on to the actual discussion, the participants had the opportunity to get acquainted and ask their questions to Armine Muradyan, the Armenian translator of Ayn Rand’s “The Fountainhead”. The Armenian version of the book was published by “Antares” publishing house, and this was a wonderful opportunity to personally communicate with the translator and discuss many issues related to Ayn Rand and the book.
In the second part of the meeting, the participants addressed the chapters of the book under discussion. In particular, it was mentioned why Wynand wants Roark to build not just a house for Dominique, but almost a “temple”. It was also discussed why Wynand tries to tempt or threaten Roark to design buildings that are contrary to his principles.
At the end of the meeting, opinions were expressed about the connection between Roark and Wynand and why they understand each other so quickly and deeply in this part of the book.
