“Ayn Rand’s Fundamental Ideas on Human Rights, Law and Government in the modern world”
The “Objectivism Vol.1 School” program is in progress. Within the framework of the fifth course-discussion of the program, speaker Kristina Azizyan presented the topic “Ayn Rand’s Fundamental Ideas on Human Rights, Law and Government in the modern world” to the participants.
At the beginning of the course, the speaker introduced human rights, their role and importance to the participating young people, referred to international legal documents. Then the origin, role and responsibilities of the state were discussed, the limits of state power were mentioned, and the principle of proportionality was highlighted.
In the second part of the speech, Rand’s approaches to human rights were presented, and the principle of “limited government” was emphasized.
In the context of law, there was a transition to the character “Hero” and each participant explained their vision of the “Hero” .
