The third meeting and discussion of the “Winter Book Club 2026” program took place.
The third meeting of the “Winter Book Club 2026” program was held, which was conducted by the book club’s moderator, Hripsime Voskanyan. At this meeting, the participants discussed chapters 9-11 of the book.
At the beginning of the discussion, it was noted what is the hidden meaning of the motto “Six minds are better than one”. It was discussed whether Roark’s steps in the chapter under discussion were “selling himself” or buying time for the further realization of his goals.
In the second part of the meeting, the participants addressed the question of why Roark rejects Snyte’s “safe” offer (salary + general credit + connections), although it would make his life easier.
Opinions were expressed about why the words “Howard Roark, Architect” have such a strong effect on Cameron and why he calls Roark’s path “hell”.
This discussion of the “Winter Book Club 2026” program was also held online and ended with an exchange of thoughts on the issue of “Recognition” vs. “Value” presented by Rand in the book.
