The second meeting and discussion of the “Winter Book Club 2026” program took place, which was held by the book club moderator Hripsime Voskanyan. At this meeting, the participants discussed chapters 5-8 of the book.
At the beginning of the discussion, the character of Keating was discussed, in particular, his relationships with Davis, Mrs. Dunlop and Francon. The philosophical layers presented by the author in these relationships were revealed.
In the second part of the meeting, the participants spoke about Toohey’s writings about architects and their obedience.
The question of whether Roark’s “selling himself” behavior is a betrayal of his values or an act of survival that forces him to move towards his true goal was also discussed.
