The last, sixth meeting-discussion of the “Winter Book Club 2024” program took place.
At this meeting, the participants discussed the eleventh and twelfth chapters of the book, which dealt with the topics “The Goal of My Writing” and “The Simplest Thing in The World”.At the beginning of the discussion, the participants noted that both chapters emphasize the goal of art to create value. The attendees touched on the question of whether art should serve a higher purpose or can art only simply entertain?
In the second part of the meeting, the participants spoke about the connection between Rand’s literary approach and her broader ethical views. At the end, each of them described in one word what the best art is for them…
Thus, the winter book club ended.
