📽️”We the Living” is coming to Armenia 🇦🇲
We are proud to announce that we are bringing one of the most controversial movies of the 20th century to Armenia!
Originally written by Ayn Rand in 1936, “We The Living” represents a stirring ode to liberty and love. The novel inspired the director Goffredo Alessandrini to produce a movie that would be banned soon upon its release by the fascist government of Benito Mussolini.
The film was thought to have been forever destroyed, but luckily, it was found in the late sixties. Thanks to Duncan Scott, the film was restored and saw the light of day in 1986.
The plot takes place in Russia during the Red Revolution and follows the struggles of Kira Argounova as she navigates her life within the new political system. Eternal motives of love, power, corruption, and the indomitable spirit of liberty permeate the film’s plot, making it an ever-relevant piece of art.
